She's growing up so fast...

6/23/11
Josie crawled today. I don't mean semi crawled either. She saw what she wanted and she went after it. She was laying on the couch and Tyler layed my iPod in front of her out of reach and she just went for it! She didn't seem to notice that she was on the move though. She just knew that she had gotten what she wanted. :)

Tyler, Josh, Josie and I went up to Holly Creek yesterday to find Litha stones. I figured that Josh would kind of make fun of me for the whole thing but he was actually really into it. We each picked out stones and we are going to carve the rune of what we want for the next year in it, then you're supposed to keep it with you and it'll come true. Josh picked his out and made his into a bad ass necklace. :) Tyler and I haven't had time to finish drawing our runes yet though. Maybe we'll get them done tomorrow.

Well I'm gonna head to bed. We're going to Chattanooga tomorrow to find Josie bug a new car seat. :)

Until tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure that was a tornado....

6/19/11
Yesterday, Tyler and I had made plans to go to Chattanooga to buy Josie a new car seat. So we got up and got ready and we took Josie to Mama's house so she could hang out there and play with Aiden while we were gone. Well, we headed to Dalton and ate lunch at Five Guys. They had been calling for storms all day, but it was still clear out when we left. We got in the car and headed toward Walmart because we were going to run in really quickly and look at their carseats before we drove all the way to Chattanooga. We made it to Walmart (like 3 minutes away from Five Guys) and we looked up and saw black clouds going really quickly towards us. We turned into Walmart and within 30 seconds, the bottom fell out and we couldn't see anything around us or in front of us. The car was rocking and felt like it was going to flip over. I was sooooo scared!

I turned down an aisle to try to find a parking spot but I couldn't see the cars around me. I didn't know if I was in the middle of the aisle or not, not to mention the people running everywhere. It was so scary, we couldn't see anything and then out of nowhere there would be a person running by my car. I looked over to my left and somehow, thank goodness, there was a parking spot there. It was angled the other way, but I had to take a chance and try to park. We were seriously thinking of leaving the car there in the middle of the aisle, but I didn't want someone hitting it and getting hurt because they couldn't see.

We managed to park and I got my purse and my phone ready. The car was slamming from side to side and I just knew that we were going to flip. We knew the direction that the store was in, so we got ready, counted to 3 and jumped out. The second we stepped out, we were soaked. Tyler was in the passenger seat so he went around the back of the car. When I got out, I panicked because I couldn't see him. I was standing beside my door and he was at the back of the car and we couldn't see each other. I ran forward and grabbed his hand and we took off running. I was wearing flats and I lost one on the aisle where the car was, and the other one flew off near the door.

We made it to the doors and the power was off, so the electric doors wouldn't open. There were people standing all inside the door way with their hands over their mouths. Tyler grabbed where the doors are supposed to open and pryed them apart. He got them about 6 inches and then used his body to force them the rest of the way open. NO ONE HELPED HIM! I couldn't believe that they were going to stand there and watch us be blown away. It amazed me.

Once we were inside, we took about 5 steps and the doors blew off. THE HUGE ELECTRIC DOORS BLEW OFF! We took off running to the center of the store. There were no lights on and everyone was panicking. The employees kept telling us to go to the outside walls! I don't think so! We stayed in the middle of the store and started texting. I texted Mama to warn her to get the kids ready because the storm was heading their way. Not even 5 minutes after it hit us, it hit them. I was so terrified but all I wanted to do was get to Josie.

Finally they told everyone that they could leave, so we took the chance. We ran to the car (I found my shoes!) and high tailed it home. Huge trees were down everywhere and power lines were over the roads.

We finally made it home and I was so happy to see Josie! Apparently she got hungry right in the middle of the storm and they had to feed her while taking cover. lol. Mama just got power back a few hours ago and there are still tons of people without power.

I have never been so scared in my life but I'm so glad that everyone made it out safe. I haven't heard yet, but I'm pretty sure it was a small tornado. I will update when I find out.

I'm going to go hug Josie and feed her dinner. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family!

Until tomorrow! :)

Movies, Dancing, and Watermelon

6/13/11
Tyler and I went to the movies today. I skipped out of work 2 hours early so that we could have a date day. :) We decided to see Super 8 and it was so good! There were a lot of scenes where I was on edge, but there were some funny ones too. And I'm really glad that they decided to show the "monster" in this one. Cloverfield was kind of a disappointment because they didn't show the monster for more than 30 seconds.

I took my crochet into the movies with me and Ty thought that was hilarious. I almost got a whole granny square baby blanket done though. I really need to work more on Katy's shoes. I think I can have them done in a day or two. Who knows. Only tome will tell.

After we got back from the movies, Josie and I went down to Whitney's. Katy and Jeremy came over and we all played Kinect games: we had lot of fun dancing and playing the adventure games. :) We're planning on getting together at least once a week.

While we were there, Josie had her first bites if watermelon. :) She loved it! I'm so glad that she's taking after me in that department. :)
Well, I'm gonna go to sleep because I can't hold my eyes open any more.

Until tomorrow.

Rain, pictures and being kicked out of church...

6/11/11
Today Beth and I had planned to take some modeling pictures of me around Dalton. There is a huge church over near the interstate that has a really pretty area to take pictures. It's the First Presbyterian Church of Dalton. Anyway, so we get over there and it starts pouring rain. We sat in the parking lot trying to wait it out and when it let up some we drove up to Burger King to get some lunch. As we were leaving, we realized that there were trees down everywhere. Apparently the storm was a lot worse than it seemed.

When it finally stopped raining, we decided to go up to the arch ways and take a few pictures. There were only a few cars in the parking lot so we didn't think that we would be disturbing anyone. So we were up there taking pictures and this man comes out and got super hateful and said that he couldn't allow us to be there while they were having a wedding. Wedding? Seriously? It's 7 pm and there are 6 cars in the parking lot. Bullshit. We just weren't rich enough to be there. That's exactly why I dont go to church, because bastard old men like him.

After we left there we went a couple other places then we rushed home because Tyler and I were supposed to have a date night and go to the movies. I texted him on the way home and told him to be ready and I would swing by and pick them up and we could go ahead and go. But of course that didn't happen. I got here and he was just then getting in the shower. So needless to say we didn't have a date night.

Josie and I did however go see Grandma and Grandpa. Josie was smiling and showing them how she can clap and sit up on her own. :) when we first got there, I asked Josie if she wanted her toy and tried to hand it to her and she started to grab it and then shook her head no and turned away from it. Grandma was so excited! Her and Grandpa couldn't believe how much she's grown and how much she can do now. :) they really love seeing her.

Well, I'm going to head to bed. I get to sleep late tomorrow!!! :)

Until tomorrow.

6/10/11

6/10/11
Tomorrow is my last day of what I like to call my "working vacation". Todd is coming back from Florida and I'll have to do actual work again. :( Haha. Today I started working on Katy's shoes that I'm crocheting for her. I'm making them out of 100% cotton yarn and I absolutely love it! It's soooo soft and there are no fuzzies or lint from it. I would love to use it for every project that I do but it's just too darn expensive.

Josie and I went to Mama's house this afternoon and ate supper with them. I can't believe how much my little honey bee has grown! Beth sat her up on the seat at Aiden's picnic table and she sat there for a good while. She loves being independent but she's also beginning to be a little diva and throw fits. I can already imagine what the Terrible 2's are going to be like. It's so funny though because I can just look at Aiden and he'll mind me, but he's a complete rebel when it comes to Mama or Beth telling him to do anything. I bet Josie will be the exact opposite. I bet I'll be chasing her down in the store and telling her no no constantly and she'll just look at me like I'm crazy. lol.

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm the only one opening tomorrow so I can't be late.

Until tomorrow :)

Motivation

6/9/11
So I finished josie's little sandals just in time to go to her doctors appointment. When we got over there everyone immediately noticed them and they couldn't stop talking about them!!!! One of the nurses actually wants me to make her daughter a pair. And one of the other lady's has a friend who might be interested in selling my items in her shop. I'm sooo excited and this was exactly the motivation I needed to get Ten Little Toes Boutique up and running. :)

Josie weighs 19.8 lbs now which seems like it was the same last time she went. He said she was beautiful and healthy as always. They had to stick her finger to test for lead in her bloodstream and to do a CBC. Everything came back clear and she only cried a little. She didn't have a problem with being stuck in the finger, she just didn't like the nurse holding her hand. :)

She's becoming a diva more and more every day. She's beginning to throw fits if we don't do what she wants but she is still responding when we tell her no no, so she hasn't reached the completely defiant stage yet. Lol.

Well I'm off to bed.
Until tomorrow!!!! :)

Had a fun day today. :)

6/8/11
Well, all in all today was pretty fun. Boring... But fun. I kind of wish Todd would hurry up back from vacation. The days seem sooo slow and all I can think about is getting home to my little honey bee.

Josie was feeling better today (thank goodness!) She woke up every 2 hours last night and I think it was because she couldn't breathe through her nose good. Tyler got up with her every time and not once did I hear him complain. He's the best dad! He loves her so so much!

So I've been working all day on a pair of little sandals for Josie. They're hot pink and grey with a white flower on top. The first one turned out really nice but they take forever to make because there are so many little pieces. I hope I can get them done tomorrow before she goes to the dr.

Well, I'm off to bed.
Until tomorrow :)

Started great... Ended bleh.

6/7/11
My boss is on vacation this week so work has been incredibly slow. Today, Whitney and I sat in Todd's office (after cleaning of course) and watched movies and ate brownies. When he's on vacation, it's kind of like a little vacation for us. :)

I tried the new crochet pattern that I bought online. I got one whole baby shoe done and even though that doesn't sound like a lot, after having to redo it 3 times it's quite an accomplishment. Of course when I got home though, I tried it on Josie and it was too small. That would be my luck. Lol. Oh well, I'll give this pair to someone who has a younger baby. Haha.

I attempted my Tuesday workout tonight but it didn't go so well. It was cardio which included knee lifts and shadow boxing. I looked like a complete idiot doing my version of shadow boxing, but my heart rate was up and that's what counts I guess. Then because of some lack of support, I got pissed and quit. I really don't know if I'm going to continue the workouts or not. I'm so incredibly tired of being mocked and called weak. I think there are plenty of people out there who would look at me and say I'm incredibly strong in other ways.

Off to bed. Until tomorrow...

I didn't mean to! Honest!

6/6/11
I made Josie sick. :( so I have effectively ruled out the effects of clorox wipes and germ-x against this big bad flu bug. I was trying so hard tO keep from making her sick. Today I took her over to mama's to hang out and I noticed that her nose was super runny and by the time we left she was in full on flu mode. I hope the little bugger feels better tomorrow.

So I went to the tattoo shop to get my lip ring switched out to a smaller one. Well, that experience did not go well. Apparently the smell of latex gloves will practically close up my air way. Nic was putting the new ring and his glove was right next to my nose and all of a sudden it felt like my throat was on fire. I had to make him wait a few minutes so I could cough. When he was done and I got back to the car, I had to use my inhaler multiple times. All in all, I had to use it 9 or 10 times. I could breathe a lot better but I had the jitters from hell and a major headache.

Needless to say, I'm ready for bed so I think I'm gonna go snooze.

Until tomorrow. :)

Just keep swimming.... Just keep swimming :)

6/4/11
Josie and I had a very long (but fun) day today. Tyler had all of his friends over to hang out so Josie and I went to see Nana. We hung out over there for a while, then we put on our bathing suits and went swimming at Katy's house. It was sooooo much fun!

As soon as Josie got in the water she was kicking her feet like a froggy. :) she loved being in the water so much! We played for about 30 minutes then we got out and ate lunch. We sat under the shed for a while then we decided we would try it again so we got back in. It was just too cold the 2nd time though and Josie was so tired. She ended up falling asleep in her float. Hahaha!

We had so much fun today but we're both completely exhausted. So I'm gonna head to bed now. :)

Until tomorrow. :)

Ugh! Being sick sucks...

6/1/11
Well, no work for me today :( For the past 2 days I've had a sore throat but I didn't really think anything of it. I woke up this morning with a massive head ache, sore throat and I was so congested I couldn't breathe through my nose. I woke up at 7 to get ready for work, but there was just no way that was gonna work out. Every time I sat up I got super light headed and I just felt sooo bad. But the upside of the whole thing was that I got to spend the day with my little honey bee. :)

Well I still feel kinda icky, so I'm gonna head to bed.
Until tomorrow :)
