Ever since the maintenance man came to lay the new carpet, our house has been a complete and utter distaster, especially upstairs. Josie's room was nothing but boxes and her crib. Well, I finally got all of it taken care of today. I started cleaning this morning around 11 and 8 hours later, Presto Chango! The house is clean and I'm exhausted. I'm so glad I got all of this taken care of though. :)
On a different note, there is a girl on my Facebook page that does such amazing artwork and she is going to paint me a painting! Her name is Savannah McKinney and her artwork is incredible! The painting that she is going to do for me is inspired by the song "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room" by John Mayer. The song doesn't really have any significance to my life, but I really love it. My little authors brain immediately started picturing how the characters in the song would look as soon as I heard the song. I'm soooo excited and I know it's gonna be beautiful!
Until tomorrow. :)

Wow! I am so behind on this blog! Every night I think about what I'm going to write about, and then I either get busy or lazy. Hahaha!
So on the 21st it was the day the supposed "rapture" was supposed to happen. Tyler, Josie and I went to the Tennessee Aquarium with James, Cassandra and her little boy Blaze. We had a lot of fun even though I think I came off as being extremely controlling. That's fine with me though, as long as Josie is happy and safe, people can think what they want about me.
Anyway, when the supposed "rapture" was supposed to take place, we were sitting out in the park letting Josie and Blaze play in the water. Of course nothing happened but it was so funny that so many people were spazzing out about it. We got so many good pictures in the park of Josie. There's one specific one that I absolutely love! When we were going home, Tyler let Josie sit up on his shoulders and I got a picture of them walking with the blue sky and sun behind them. It's so pretty!
Anyway, I'll try my best to keep this blog up to date now :)

Every afternoon, I start thinking about this amazing blog that I'm going to write....... then I go to bed. So, sorry if I haven't kept this thing up to date. I don't think anyone actually reads this except me, so it's all good. :)
Day before yesterday, Josie drank out of her sippy cup!! Like, not just a few sips but she actually drank the whole thing! I'm so excited because that means that slowly we are leaving bottles behind. She can hold her sippy better, too. For some reason though, she will not drink juice from it. Only her milk. Oh well, I guess she's just picky. lol.
I've had a really great past couple of days. Tyler and I haven't argued, Josie's been being amazing and everything seems to be great. :) We got xbox live hooked up and yesterday we set up the netflix. I love it! There are a lot of movies that I can just watch instantly now. This is really gonna change movie night. :)
Well, as I'm writing this, I'm supposed to be working, so I'm gonna get back to it.

Yesterday, Tyler and I went over to James' house and hung out with them. They cooked hamburgers and hot dogs and we played Dance Central on the Kinect. I had a lot of fun this time. :) Usually, I feel kinda like an outsider because everyone over there are Tyler's friends, but this time my friend Cassandra (James' girlfriend) and her little boy were over there. I was even brave enough to dance (poorly) in front of everyone.
After we left their house, we headed over to Dalton to meet Shane and Jordy at the fair.I took some dramamine before going because I always end up getting sick on the rides. The first ride that we rode was called the Power Surge. Basically, two people are sitting beside each other and you're facing two other people. Then this long arm lifts you up and spins you around and your seats spin, too. I was terrified but I'm so glad that I rode it. I remember looking over at Shane and him being completely upside down and screaming. Hahaha!
After that ride we rode the tilt a whirl twice and the bumper cars. Then we got on what we thought was a simple kid ride..... the Rock and Roller. In this one, you spin around on a track, just in a big circle. So I was thinking no big deal. And the cart that you're in spins upside down in a complete vertical 360. But the catch is, Shane and I were already feeling queasy and we thought that you controlled the cart. So we get in and get strapped in (Shane sitting across from me) and then I realize that there's no wheel or anything. Just before the ride started, I yelled and asked the guy if it spun on its own. Yep...... and it spun a lot. Every time I opened my eyes, Shane was across from me looking like he was going to throw up, and trust me if he would have, we all would have been covered. But thankfully, he didn't. After that ride though, he and I were way too sick to ride anything else, even the ferris wheel.
So all in all, I had an amazing day and I'm really glad that I got to spend it with Tyler. :)
Then this morning, I stood Josie up in her playpen and showed her how to hold on to the sides, and she stood up all on her own!!!!!! Another awesome milestone!!!!!!!!!!!

Today has been a pretty regular boring day. Went to work this morning and worked until 5. Then after I got off work, Tyler and Josie came to pick me up and we went to get our hair cut. His barber and my beautician are now in the same building so it worked out really well. I love Tyler's haircut! And I really like mine as well (it makes the terrible color look a little less terrible. Haha.)
Well, Josie is in the bed and Tyler is gone running so I guess I'm going to head up to bed.
Until tomorrow. :)

Yesterday was my first mothers day! I had so much fun. Josie and I stayed in our PJ's all day and we played with her new connector blocks for the longest time. I feel so proud to be the mother of such a beautiful baby girl!
Yesterday afternoon we went down to my Mom's house to eat dinner with her. I'm so proud to have such an awesome mom. I hope that somehow I can manage to be half the woman that my Mama has been to me. :)
Mama grilled steaks and hot dogs on her new grill, and omg were they good. :) We stayed down there for a really long time and let Josie play. We made her a pallet in the floor to play on and she was trying so hard to crawl, but all she can do is go backward. lol. She crawled (scoot/slid?) about 6 inches towards me on the couch. I don't even think she realized that she was doing it though.
We also have been putting her in her walker but all she wants to do is scoot back. That's how Aiden did, too though and look how he get's around now. :)
Anyway, I got the cutest necklace from Josie. lol. :) It's a charm necklace and it has a little girl charm on it with Josie's birthstone on it. I love it! I showed everyone at work and they kept talking about how pretty it is. :)
The sleep training is going really well, too. All day today she has been taking her naps upstairs in her crib and getting herself to sleep. She's growing up so fast!
So, all in all, I had the best 1st mothers day I could have ever wished for. I'm looking to many, many more with my beautiful family. I love you guys!

Sleep Training!

I really hate calling it sleep training. Josie is not a puppy! lol. Every night after Josie takes her last bottle we put her in her swing and she goes straight to sleep, then we carry her upstairs to her crib. We never have a problem with her going to sleep...as long as she is in her swing. So, I got to thinking the other day, what happens when she is too big for her swing? So we decided to start doing what they call "sleep training". It's where you put the baby in the crib at night to sleep instead of her usual spot.
So I put her in her crib awake. I was expecting her to cry or at least whine, but I turned on her mobile and she just jabbered at it. I came down stairs and plugged in the monitor and she was completely quiet. All I could hear was the music from her mobile. So I went back up to check on her, because surely she should be a little upset. But when I got up there she was fast asleep. Granted, her butt was in the air, one arm was behind her back and the other was behind her head.... but she was asleep! I readjusted her onto her back and she just sighed and kept on sleeping. I can't believe that this went so smoothly!!!!!!
I love my baby girl!!!!!
