Josie,
I can't believe that you are two years old already. Where have these two wonderful years gone? This morning you woke up a new child. You became a "mommy" overnight. Today you have been carrying your toy puppy and your Minnie Mouse doll around like they were babies. You have cleaned them with wipes, wanted to change their diapers, shared your sipper with them and covered them up for nap time. You are the most perfect little girl and I love you with my whole heart. Never before I had you had I felt this amount of love.
Looking at how big you have grown already, it makes me so sad and happy all at the same time. You are the most beautiful, goofy little girl I could ever ask for. I think back to that first month after having you. At the time, I was so exhausted and all I wanted was for you to be bigger. But now, oh what I would give for you to be tiny and looking up at me as I held you in my arms.
You are the most important person in my life and I love you with all the power of the moon and sun combined. I would walk the Earth for you and fly to the stars. Because I realized something the first time I saw you, you have my heart and you always will. You are my most precious baby girl and I will love you for eternity.
Love,
Mama

I know that I haven't posted in a while, and that's because I've been super busy!
Yesterday, we went down to Mama's and Carol's houses for Thanksgiving. Josie wore a little black and white striped dress with pink leggings. She was so adorable!
We ate lunch with Carol then headed over to Mama's house. Beth and Aiden were gone to my Aunt's house, so it was just us and Mama. The food was sooooo delicious!!!!!!!!!My mom is the world's best cook!
Josie still has the flu really bad so she was really grumpy and by the time we got home last night, she was ready for bed.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

9/6/11
So Josie is officially 1! It's so hard to believe that it has been over a year since we drove to the hospital, scared to death of going through labor. She is so big now! She's pulling up constantly and crawling everywhere and she's going everywhere all the time. I can't believe she's so big and smart and beautiful. She's looking more and more like Tyler every day, but every now and then I can see a spark of me in her.
We had her birthday party on Saturday (9/3), the day after her actual birthday. The night before, Carol and I went up to the church to decorate. The lady was supposed to meet us to open the church at 4:30 but when she got there, she didn't have her keys. She knew of another lady that had some keys so she called her and that lady agreed to bring her set of keys when she got off work at 6. I was a little frustrated but it was a simple mistake, so I went back home and came back at 6.
When we got back there, the lady still hadn't showed up. Now I was really frustrated. We ended up waiting until about 8:45 for the lady to finally get her ass in gear and get there. She was really nice, but I mean, seriously?! It was my baby girls' birthday and I had just wasted the afternoon away from her. Ugh!
Anyway, we decorated with hot pink, green and white streamers, layed out the pink table cloths and set the tables. It was so beautiful! We decided to wait until the day of the party to blow up balloons because I was afraid that they would deflate before the party. Her theme was hot pink, lime green, and white with monkeys. Everything was perfect :) Before we left, Carol got the keys from the lady because she said that she didn't want the whole delay thing to happen again before her party.
So the big day came and Josie was in a really good mood that morning. I went ahead and got ready and painted on the car windows. (Happy 1st Birthday Josie!)(Baby Nub is 1!)and (Our Baby Executive is 1!) The plan was, that I would go pick up Beth and the birthday cake and meet Carol at the church at 12:30 so we would have plenty of time to decorate the rest of the stuff and set up the food. So I headed to Mama's and picked up Beth and the cakes, then headed to the church.... Only when we got there Carol was no where to be found.
I called and called, sent multiple text messages and she wouldn't call or text back. I was so furious! I mean, seriously?!?!?! She got the keys and promised that she would be there at 12:30. Now it was 1:15 and I couldn't get in touch with her. My heart was breaking because I knew that this was my baby girl's first birthday party and it was not supposed to be like this. She finally showed up and didn't even apologize to me. She just said the reason why she was late, but never told me sorry. I think that I deserved that at least. She could tell that I was furious so she didn't talk to me any more after that.
Because of that late start, I was so stressed throughout the entire party. She didn't get the ice like she said she was going to, people started showing up before all the food was out and the balloons were up and Josie was 15 minutes late for her own party. It was ridiculous, but Josie didn't mind. After Josie did her smash cake and we got her cleaned up, everyone had already been eating. I was trying to take care of Josie (who since she had a cold was in an incredibly grumpy mood) and eat at the same time. Then Carl kept on and kept on about cutting the cake. I really wanted a picture of the three of us in front of the cake, but with him yelling every 5 seconds, I gave in and cut the cake.
After I finally managed to let go, everything went well. Josie was extremely fussy when it came time for opening presents and I ended up doing it. All in all, the party was really nice and we had a good time. Josie enjoyed herself and that's all that matters. :)

Wow. I'm a terrible blogger. I haven't had the time to write much on here, but tonight I had my computer out so I figured I would jot some stuff down.
So today was my first day back at school. I got up this morning at 7 am and left to meet Katy at school by 8. We went up and checked out the gym so we could start working out on Thursday. After that we went into the book store and bought some really cute shirts. I got one that says, "Dalton State Nursing: Nurses have more patients." Haha. It was so great. :)
My first class of the day was Psychology and I had that one with Katy. It went pretty well and I think I'll enjoy the class. I'm really excited to learn about the prenatal and childhood sections. :)
My second class was damn near impossible to find. I had to turn down like 4 hallways and go through a snack room to a hidden hallway. lol. It was Speech class and the one class that I'm incredibly nervous about. The teacher seems really nice and upbeat and she seems really understanding about everyone's apprehension about public speaking. I think it will be interesting and I'll try to keep the blog updated as the semester goes on.
So when I got home today, Josie was standing up in her play pen. I can't believe she's doing that now. It amazes me how much she's grown! She stood up for the first time on August 12th and now she's doing it all the time. I'm so proud of my beautiful baby girl. :)

Well, I guess the saying is true. Time flies when your having fun. Sorry I haven't written in a while. Most of the time when I get home from work all I wanna do is cuddle up with Josie. :)
Ugh! I was supposed to be crocheting blankets for the NICU at the hospital, but I have yet to turn any in. I'm just so tired in the afternoons and it's so hard to try and find time to do it. I know that that is really selfish of me, but I guess I'll just have to work harder on it.
I've been really overwhelmed lately. Like, I'm tired from the point I wake up to the time I go to bed. It's all worth it though. :) I'm just kind of worried about starting school next week. That's just going to be one more thing....
Oh well. Life is short and I'm going to enjoy it!

So last night I got the bright idea that I was going to change my lip ring. Well, getting the old one out and putting the new one in wasn't a big deal. I couldn't get the ball back on though. I worked on it for a little over an hour and my lip was just too swollen to do anything with. I finally decided I would leave the ring in without the ball and hope that it didn't fall out. It managed to stay in until this morning but it just kept twisting and getting more and more sore. I finally decided to take it out completely.
Tyler and I took Josephine to mama after I got off work and we went to look for party stuff. We decided on the "Mod Monkey" theme for her birthday. It's bright green and pink with cartoon monkeys. I think it'll be really really pretty. I hope everyone will come but if they don't then that's fine too. We'll have a great time either way. :)
Well I'm heading up to bed! :)

Well, the title says it all. Today has been a good day. :)
I actually managed to be on time (barely, but it still counts!) for work this morning and the day there went pretty smoothly. I had to leave work to go pick up supplies for work from the grocery store, so I did all of my errands while I was out, which meant after work I got to come straight home to Josie bug. :)
When I got home she was so cuddly and she was in a great mood. I sat on the bouncy ball and bounced with and she just layed her head on my chest and played with my necklace. Gah! I love that kid.
I finally got the windows upstairs covered with plastic so maybe that will help insulate it up there and keep it cooler. I know it's not going to work miracles but it would be nice if it could drop it a degree or two. The maintenance man came and looked at the vents and everything the other day but he said it was so hot because we had the vents closed. Like, seriously?! I know the vents were open because I'm not a complete idiot and that was the first thing I checked. Oh well, maybe this will help.
I also brushed Josephine's teeth for the 1st time with her new big girl tooth brush today. It was hard to get around her tongue though because she just wanted to eat the toothpaste. Ha ha. I'm going to start doing it at least twice a day so maybe she'll get used to it. :)
Well, I'm gonna head up to bed. I'm working by myself tomorrow so I've gotta be good and rested up to deal with all the crazies. Haha.
Until tomorrow
