So, the other day we went to a concert but I'm just now getting to write about it. lol. Tyler, Josh and I went to the Tabernacle in Atlanta to see Coheed and Cambria. It was so incredibly amazing. I had seen them once before in concert but that was at the Gwinnett Center and they were just little dots on stage. This time around, they were so close!
We took Josie to visit Carol (where my mom was going to pick her up from) before we left for Atlanta. I know a lot of people would laugh at me, but it hurt so bad to leave her. I knew she was safe and that she would be taken care of, but I still had a hard time leaving her. This was going to be the first night that me and Josie had ever spent apart. The whole week leading up to the concert, any time I would think of it, I would get really anxious. I mean, I had her with me every second of every day for 9 months and then every night after that for 7 months I knew that she was always where I could get to her quick. It killed me to think that I was nearly 3 hours away from her.
Anyway, so I finally managed to pry myself away from her and we started on our way to Atlanta. The trip went pretty smoothly, unlike our last trip to Atlanta where we got super lost and ended up in like South Carolina at 2 am. Tyler drove most of the way down but I took over when we started getting into Atlanta. The only trouble we had was finding the right streets to turn onto in downtown. They are one way streets (I defied this law rather well I might add) so they were very confusing. We stopped and asked a valet where the Tabernacle was and he gave me some really backwards directions but we finally found it. We could tell that we were at the right spot by the huge line that circled the block.
The venue was unbelievable! I had heard that you were close to the stage but I didn't realize just how close. Josh and Tyler stayed in the middle of the crowd but I made my way to the side. What with the mosh pits, 1000 degree temp in there, and my iffy blood sugar, I thought that was the best move. lol. I really wish I could have stayed up front with them though. I couldn't see really well from where I was and I ended up getting elbowed in the face anyway. lol.
We decided that Josh could drive us home because I am a major nervous wreck in big cities. Especially if I don't know where I'm going. I'm a very controlling person and I hate not having control over the situation. If I've been there before, then I'm ok. But if I haven't, I'm gripping the steering wheel and freaking out the entire time. We finally made it home around 2 am. I was so exhausted that I just went straight to bed. :) I was pretty jazzed too because I got to sleep late the next morning.
When we went to get Josie the next morning, she was so happy to see us! She kept saying dada and mama over and over. We have such a perfect baby girl!
I really can't wait to see them in concert again, though. They put on such a great show! And I love the fact that the first set was acoustic. It was my fav! And now I have a new fav song by them (Pearl of the Stars). All in all, I think we had a really kick ass time and I can't wait to do it again!
